This review gets a 58%. Go back to your Street Fighter, wuss. The only thing wrong with the SNES version was the lack of blood. Outside of the Sega CD version, this was the best looking and sounding console version.

I love this game and feel it is truly one of the greatest titles to ever be released for any system. The music is enchanting, the graphics are excellent, the selection of battle techniques, attacks and stunning magic spells offer an exciting diversity of visual effects enticing one to battle more enemies simply to use them again and again. The characters are nicely developed with a broad array of personality types and depth inviting one to feel a sense of relationship and adoration. The battle formation options and unique items tailored to each individual character make finding and using them nicely rewarding. The multiple endings offer an appreciable incentive to enjoy the game again and again. Truly a classic IMO.

How is this even close to being a Metroid rip-off? It's a run-'n'-gun platformer that just happens to let you roll around. That's like calling a game a Super Mario World rip-off because it lets you ride an animal.

Yes it was a GREAT game but you needed nuts of steel to finish it. It would chewed you up and spit you out for breakfast leaving you in a quivering pulp. But after you've dust your self off and re-applied your protctive body armor back you'd go into battle ARRRRGGHH Take that you mother ###########

Funny characters that moved in there own individual way. Awkward at first but grows on you, even the tunes were toe tappingly good. Story may well have been up it's own A### Olaf certainly new how to use it, but hey they were Lost Vikings.

Playing the snow barrel blast levels are an absolute joy, yes it had it's critics but boy did it pack a game. At the end I was beating my chest for more and thankfully they brought out 2 further games....GREAT!

I've parted company with some of my SNES cartridges over the years but not this one. A true classic combining all the best elements video games could muster, visuals have come on leaps and bounds since then but there's something about the cute sprites and environments link wounders through that grab you.Once you start playing it you just can't put it down. later versions may have expanded on the story but for me this was the mother of all future Zelda games....Sorry Zelda 1 NES good but not that good.

Strongly disagree with the score that is givin. This is a fun and classic game, but there are aspects that aren't very good about this game, but not enough to make it THAT low of a rating.

Graphics and sound mediocre at best. The challenge is there and makes for some interesting plays, if you don't get too frustrated.
