I hated the original zelda on the 8-bit Nes but must say I have enjoyed playing this one. I'm not done yet, but have definitely put in at least 15+ hours playing it and still feel like I want to continue. Since the game aged so well and is still as fun as any game out after all these years I will have to agree with the score. There aren't any flaws I could find with it. This comes from a person that only owned a Sega Genesis when I was younger. Great game !

I've parted company with some of my SNES cartridges over the years but not this one. A true classic combining all the best elements video games could muster, visuals have come on leaps and bounds since then but there's something about the cute sprites and environments link wounders through that grab you.Once you start playing it you just can't put it down. later versions may have expanded on the story but for me this was the mother of all future Zelda games....Sorry Zelda 1 NES good but not that good.
The game that created the set up for all future zelda games to come. It's easy to say a zelda game is perfect in almost every aspect but this game surpasses that. This is by far the best legend of zelda game ever created to date and in my opinion the best game from super nintendo and all other consoles to date. It has definently left an impact on all players always leaving gamers wanting more out of there games searching for the next best thing.
The game is amazing from start to finish with tons of replay value. The game is set up on a large open map leaving player with lots of freedom on where to go and what to do next. A great adventure game that will keep any player going for hours and hours on end. With 13 dungeons and tons of stuff in between it will keep you playing for at least 20 hours your first time threw. To put it simply if you have never played this game you need to as soon as possible.
